Marketing Team

Team Description:

The Marketing team translates our complex technical infrastructure into a message of reliability and trust. Through targeted market research, strategic social media, and focused public relations, this team builds the educational campaigns that connect students to the resources they need. They are responsible for entirely removing the stigma associated with basic needs assistance and establishing Free Foodi as a seamless, everyday utility on campus.


Open Listing: Marketing & Communications Strategist


  • The Role: You will own the voice of Free Foodi. You will craft the campaigns that educate the student body on how our decentralized hubs work while emphasizing the privacy of the system.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research: Analyze student feedback and campus trends to understand the specific barriers to accessing basic needs resources.


  • Social Media: Develop and execute a digital content calendar that drives awareness, clearly explains our service, and highlights the broader campus Basic Needs Initiative.


  • Public Relations: Draft press releases, connect with campus media, and build narratives that showcase our transition from a grant-funded research project into an operational enterprise.


Ideal Candidate: A communications, marketing, or graphic design student who knows how to distill complex ideas into clear, engaging, and empathetic messaging.
